The Houston Dash are back in action hosting the North Carolina Courage this Friday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The match marks Houston’s return home after the NWSL summer break, and the team is eager to shift momentum following a gritty 2-2 road draw against Bay FC.
Despite strong performances on the road, wins at home have been hard to come by this season, and the Dash are hoping to bring some long-awaited points and joy to their home fans.
Currently sitting in 12th place in the standings, the Dash are in need of points if they want to climb out of the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile North Carolina Courage is coming from a tie as well with a 0-0 against San Diego Wave .They currently sit in 9th place — just outside the playoff line — and are dealing with major internal changes. Most notably, the club parted ways with head coach Sean Nahas on Wednesday. With interim leadership in place, the Courage will be looking for stability and results.
Broadcast Information
The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. CT kickoff and will be televised on NWSL+.
Deportes Nation will have the Spanish audio broadcast on DeportesNation.com, our mobile app, and across our social media channels.

Key Game Points
- Can Houston finally capitalize at home? With minimal wins at Shell Energy Stadium, the Dash need a result to reenergize their fans and regain confidence.
- How will North Carolina respond to their coaching shake-up? Teams sometimes rally after a major change — the Courage could come out sharp and focused, or unsettled.
- Return of Alozie: Michelle Alozie’s return adds a spark that could be the difference-maker in attack.
Possible Outcomes
- Houston win: A home victory would be a turning point and a much-needed boost heading into the final stretch of the season.
- Courage win: If North Carolina plays with urgency and cohesion despite the coaching change, they could walk away with three points and climb into playoff contention.
- Draw: With both teams looking to settle after transitional periods, a draw could reflect growing pains and missed opportunities on both ends.
In-game recognitions:
