CARY, N.C. – The Florida State Seminoles won 5-1 over the Stanford Cardinal in the 2023 NCAA Women’s College Cup Final at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Freshman Jordynn Dudley opened the scoring with a penalty conversion in the 29th minute. Dudley turned from scorer to provider seconds later to assist Jody Brown for the two-goal lead.

Maya Doms took one back for Stanford in the second half, at the 58th minute, but Beata Olsson would regain the lead six minutes later. Olsson assisted Brown in the 61st as the Seminoles began to pull away. Onyi Echegini added a fifth in the 84th to put the exclamation on a perfect season.

Jordynn Dudley was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player. Lauren Flynn was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

The victory caps off an undefeated season for the Seminoles (22-0-1) and brings a fourth women’s soccer championship (2014, 2018, 2021, 2023) to Tallahassee, the most won by an FSU program and 19th National Championship for the university.

Florida State becomes the first unbeaten National Champion since the 2011 Stanford Cardinal. FSU also moves into second all-time behind North Carolina.

Stanford (20-1-4) also arrived at the final with an unbeaten record, marking the first time two unbeaten teams faced off for the trophy.
