FIFA has officially launched the ticketing process for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, starting with an exclusive early access phase for Visa cardholders on September 10.
This first phase is a random draw, meaning fans can apply to purchase tickets but will be selected at random. To take part, you’ll need to register a FIFA Ticketing Account at FIFA.com/tickets, where applications will be open from September 10 to September 19.
How to Apply for Tickets
Create a FIFA ID: Head to FIFA.com/tickets and sign up.
Check your payment method: Only Visa cards (debit, credit, or prepaid) are accepted for this presale.
Apply during the draw window: Submit your request between Sept 10–19.
Wait for confirmation: If selected, you’ll be notified in late September and assigned a purchase time slot in October.
Ticket Prices and Categories
Group stage matches: Starting from $60 USD. Final match: Can cost up to $6,730 USD
Dynamic pricing will be in effect, meaning prices may go up or down depending on demand. The prices will likely increase once matches, dates and locations are announced.
Many fans are not happy with this type of sales. Think of these tickets as airplane tickets that increase in price during high season and decrease in price during less desirable travel months.
Each fan can request up to 4 tickets per match, with a limit of 10 matches total. FIFA has informed buyers that they do not guarantee that all tickets will be next to each other and that your seats can be changed, but you will stay within the same category you paid for.
FIFA plans to release more tickets in future phases, including general public draws and a last-minute sale closer to the tournament.
A First for North America
The 2026 tournament will be the largest FIFA World Cup in history, with 48 teams competing across 16 cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
With matches spread across major venues like MetLife Stadium, SoFi Stadium, and Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca, demand for tickets is expected to be high throughout all phases.
