Genuine World Cup is an international sporting event the tournament aims to promote diversity and inclusion through football by bringing together teams from different parts of the world to compete on a global platform.

This inaugural edition features 12 teams from Europe, the United States, and Mexico, showcasing a diverse array of talent:

  • United States: Inter Miami and Special Olympics Texas
  • Mexico: Club Tigres, Querétaro FC, and the Mexico DI National Team
  • Portugal: Sporting Clube de Portugal and SL Benfica
  • Spain: Athletic Club Fundazioa, Fundación Barça, Valencia CF, and Nàstic de Tarragona

Hosted by the local team the Houston Dynamo FC., it will be played August 1-2, and the final will take place on August 3 at Shell Energy Stadium.

Additionally, the tournament featured a unique networking event called “Genuine Connect,” where various organizations discussed insights and addressed key challenges facing the sector moving forward.

This tournament beautifully highlighting’s the unity that a sport can bring between different cultures, no matter the differences football unites.
