FRISCO, Texas — North Texas SC, the second team of MLS club FC Dallas, is the champion of MLS NEXT Pro after winning 3-2 in the championship match against Philadelphia Union II on Saturday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
Union II started with a two-goal lead, thanks to Markus Anderson in the 9th minute and Eddy Davis in the 18th. Davis extended his season tally to 13 goals to finish Philadelphia’s top scorer.
Logan Farrington started the North Texas comeback by scoring from a free kick in the 51st minute. Enes Sali tied the match in the 67th minute, and 21-year-old Brazilian Pedrinho sealed the dramatic 3-2 finish with a back-heeled flick one minute into stoppage time.
Herbert Endeley was named the MLS NEXT Pro Cup MVP for his two assists in the final. The 23-year-old defender finished the 2024 campaign with nine goal contributions (six assists).
