During the Olympic break for the NWSL, the Houston Dash has parted ways with General Manager Alex Singer.
The club announced the decision its Thursday via a club statement, which was short and to the point. The club also mentioned that they are in search of a new general manager effective immediately.
No other details were given.
Singer, arrived at the Houston club almost in August of 2022. She was introduced as the first-ever general manager of the Houston Dash to oversee all soccer operations.
At that moment, it was something that Dash fans hoped to amount to the continued change in the club from players to coaches to owners. Unfortunately, things haven’t seemed to work out for the former soccer player and the Dash administration.
Singer made her professional soccer debut in 2007 for the Washington Freedom against the Los Angeles Sol in the inaugural match of Women’s Professional Soccer. She played the beautiful game for several years for different teams.
After she retired, she was still involved in the soccer world but as a manager with Octagon a global talent agency. Having both experience on and off the pitch it seemed like a match. As of now no details were given to her departure but make sure to keep an eye out for updates.
