The Houston Dash welcomes Bay FC in Week 10 of the 2025 NWSL season on Saturday at Shell Energy Stadium.

The Dash is currently in 12th place with just 10 points. Bay FC is just two spots above in 10th place with 11 points and comes into the matchup riding the high of a 2-nil win over Angel City FC.

The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. CT kickoff and will be broadcast on Paramount+, CBS Sports Golazo Network, and NWSL+. Deportes Nation will have the Spanish audio broadcast on DeportesNation.com, our mobile app, and across our social media channels.

Players to Watch

Houston Dash

  • Avery Patterson: The forward was recently named to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster. Patterson’s skills will be vital in scoring against Bay FC.
  • Yazmeen Ryan: Has been a key player in the team’s offensive role debut was out last game due to an eye injury. If Ryan is back the team will have a good combination of talent trying to score.
  • Katy Lind: The defensive player has been essential for the defensive strategy for the team. She will have to be vigilant to try and stop any Bay goal-scoring attacks.

Bay FC

  • Karlie Lema: The forward is a promising rookie; she has shown potential in Bay FC’s attacking lineup and could be a game-changer in this game if she is able to find space to score like she has in several games this season.
  • Tess Boade: Boade plays a crucial role in Bay FC’s midfield, she can provide both defensive coverage and offensive support, so she can become a headache for the Dash.
  • Abby Dahlkemper: She is an experienced defense player in Bay FC’s. She has been instrumental in organizing the defense to close the opportunities for the rival to get to the box.

Key Game Points

  • Playoff Implications: Both teams are currently outside the playoff positions. A win for either side could be pivotal in climbing the standings.
  • Defensive Challenges: Both teams have conceded six goals in their last three matches, highlighting defensive vulnerabilities that could be exploited.
  • Offensive Opportunities: Bay FC’s recent 2-0 win suggests an uptick in offensive form, while Houston will aim to capitalize on home-field advantage to boost their attack and gain confidence before traveling.

Possible Outcomes

  • Houston Victory: Capitalizing on home advantage and seeking redemption after their recent loss, the Dash could edge out Bay FC with a narrow win.
  • Draw: Given both teams’ recent inconsistencies, a draw is a plausible outcome, reflecting their closely matched standings.
  • Bay FC Victory: Building on their recent success, Bay FC might exploit Houston’s defensive lapses to secure an away win.
