HOUSTON – The FIFA World Cup 26™ Houston Host Committee officially unveiled East Downtown (EaDo) as the official spot for FIFA FAN FESTIVAL™ Houston. This milestone announcement highlights Houston’s preparations as the city gets ready to welcome the world for FIFA World Cup 26™.

East Downtown, also known as EaDo, is a vibrant, walkable, residential neighborhood with rich history and an eclectic mix of thriving businesses and a multicultural sense of style, making it the perfect location to celebrate the world’s game. FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston will further infuse energy into the neighborhood and support EaDo’s continued growth, leaving an improved urban realm as a lasting community legacy.

“EaDo truly represents the spirit of Houston — it’s vibrant, diverse, and full of energy. That’s why it’s the perfect home for FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston,” said Chris Canetti, President of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Houston Host Committee. “We’re excited to bring the world’s game to this incredible neighborhood and create something that not only celebrates FIFA World Cup 26™ but also leaves a meaningful, lasting impact. From FOOTBALL FIESTA HOUSTON to community improvements, this is about building a legacy for EaDo and all of Houston.”

A major component of the FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston is FOOTBALL FIESTA HOUSTON. This concept, honoring East Houston’s deep roots in the Hispanic community, will infuse the energy of the FIFA World Cup 26™ into the surrounding area, stretching beyond the FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston fences and into the broader EaDo neighborhood.

Nearby restaurants, bars, and attractions will be ready to participate in FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston programing, which will ultimately support economic development, and legacy projects within the area.

Fans will be welcomed to the FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston to watch every FIFA World Cup 26™ match over the duration of the tournament. Attendees will be treated to a unique viewing experience, global flavors in our concession areas, curated entertainment, VIP hospitality, and youth soccer activations in our grow the game zone.

The FIFA World Cup 26™ Houston Host Committee is committed to advancing the East Downtown neighborhood with the presence of the FIFA Fan Festival™ Houston. Beautification efforts with art installation and tree-planting, capital projects with sidewalk improvements, and economic development with support of local businesses will all ensure we leave the neighborhood better than we found it.
