Former Mexico men’s national team coach and midfielder Jaime “Jimmy” Lozano is the new manager of Club de Fútbol Pachuca.
The Liga MX side revealed the announcement on Thursday, ahead of the Tuzos participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Lozano, 46, previously coached fellow Liga MX sides Querétaro (2017) and Necaxa (2022), leading the former to a Supercopa MX title. He also managed Mexico’s men’s Olympic team (2018–2021) and senior men’s national team (2023–2024), winning bronze at Tokyo 2020 and the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup, respectively.
Uruguayan coach Guillermo Almada, who led the club to a league title, a Concacaf Champions Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final and was regarded as one of the top coaches in Liga MX by experts, departed the club on Wednesday.
