Three Houston Dash players have been called to represent their nations in Women’s Football at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Tarciane, Michelle Alozie, and Jane Campbell will be present at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Find out how to see them in action below:

Brazil

The defender Tarciane is one of the newer additions to the Houston Dash, coming to the team earlier this year from Corinthians.

Not only was the 21-year-old part of the Brazilian squad that got third place at the 2024 SheBelieves Cup, but she also scored three goals in that tournament.

The defender also reached the final of the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup with Brazil.

Tarciane, has been at the international level for a while now, she represented Brazil at the U-17 and U-20 levels, winning the South American U-20 championship in 2022.

At the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Costa Rica 2022, she was awarded with the Bronze Ball, scoring three goals during the tournament, being essential in helping Brazil get the third-place spot making it best finish ever.

Brazil in in Group C, they face off with Nigeria as their opening game. Yes, we will get to see some Alozie vs Tarciane action. Then Brazil will take on Japan and finish the group stage against Spain.

With the games that Tarciane has played with the Dash, she has shown potential and grit.

Nigeria

It’s the first time since 2008 that the Nigerian women’s national team is back at the Olympics game, and Michelle Alozie is part of the squad.

When Alozie wears the Dash uniform she plays as a forward, but being the versatile player that she is with the “Super Falcons” she plays as a defender.

This will be first time the 27-year-old attends the Olympics but knows how to handle her own when it comes important games.

She was a key player in the Nigerian squad at the 2023 FIFA Woman’s World Cup where the team made it to the knockout rounds but were eliminated by England via penalties.

Alozie also participated in the 2022 Cup of Nations and three various friendlies from 2021 through 2023.

She is for sure a fan favorite always taking the time to greet fans after the game with a smile no matter the outcome of the game.

Nigeria, is in Group C, considered by many has the hardest group due to the FIFA ranking of the teams. Nigeria will make their first appearance against Brazil.  then go on to face off with Spain and Japan to round out group play.

USA

Goalkeeper Jane Campbell is attending her second Olympic games as part of the United States women’s national team.

Her first Olympics were in Tokyo 2020, where she won a bronze medal with the team. This time, she was called as an alternative for the Olympics in Paris this summer. This means that Campbell will travel with the national team, and in case one of the other goalkeepers can’t compete, she will be the one to take their place.

Campbell has 8 appearances and was in the U-17 national team that reached the 2012 Azerbaijan World Cup. In 2013 she was called up the senior team for the first time.

The 29-year-old is one of the players that has been with the Houston Dash team since day their inaugural season in 2017 and recently signed a four-year extension contract through the 2027 season with an option to extend until 2028. She is a team staple and long-time fan favorite.

The USWNT is in Group B and makes their Olympic debut against Zambia, then Germany and finally Australia.

As a Dash fan, you can continue to root for the Houston Dash players while they compete in one of the world’s biggest sports stages at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
