HOUSTON – Energy conglomerate Chevron is extending its support in Houston professional soccer.
The Houston Dash and Chevron U.S.A. Inc. announced a new multi-year agreement on Thursday, extending the efforts of both organizations in the Houston community, according to a club release.
Chevron first signed on as the first Dash exclusive partner back on March 15, 2022. This new agreement now extends to Houston Dynamo FC plus the non-profit arm of the club, Dynamo and Dash Charities. Chevron has been designated as the first “Community Champion” of both teams.
Community Champion
The Dash and Chevron will continue to collaborate on the Goals for Girls program, which will offer free girls’ soccer clinics throughout the year featuring Dash players and tickets to every home game.
Chevron has also pledged to make a donation to a Houston-based youth organization of $1,000 for every point the Dash secures this season as part of the Points for Purpose program. In addition, a new mini soccer pitch will be built as a part of this collaboration.
Self-proclaimed as “the human energy company,” Chevron has previously sponsored soccer clinics in the state of California and other events as part of the Chevron Soccer Academy outreach program.
